Our Story

Welcome to our Honey Bee Scents online shop. My name is Judit, and my family are from Hungary. We left the country and moved to London in 2012. After 2 years, we moved to Bristol where we live now.

I’ve always worked as a florist. In Hungary I had my own flower shop, but as the country became poorer, people had less money to spend on flowers, and I needed to close my shop. This was when we decided to move to England.

​

I feel very lucky, because I can always work as a florist. I have been working in a local flower shop since we moved to Bristol (which is now nearly six years). I’ve always liked my job because of its creativity.

​

But one day I thought ... what if I make and sell candles? At first, I started to sell them on different websites. But as they became more popular and sold more, I decided to make my own online shop. I’m really proud of myself, because I created this website (with help from my family and friends) and took all the photos of my products.

​

Why did I do this? .... For the same reason that I like being a florist – creativity! I like trying new things and I’m happy to listen to other people's ideas.
